Lasnetski Gihon Law (LGL) has attorneys dedicated to two very focused areas: criminal defense & immigration. Our criminal defense attorneys are both partners and former prosecutors. Our immigration attorneys include a former ICE deportation prosecutor. With LGL, one of our two law partners will personally handle your criminal or immigration case.
At LGL, we will assess your legal situation, develop a strategy and keep you informed throughout the process. When you retain us, we are only a phone call away when you have a question. Personal service is important to us and our goal is to use our big firm experience to help you with your legal needs while providing small office care to ensure you are happy with our services.
LGL is proud to offer a former prosecutor with more than 20 years of criminal trial experience. Jeremy Lasnetski is a former prosecutor in Duval, Clay and Nassau and has more than 20 years of criminal trial experience in both State and Federal courts.
When you retain us for your criminal case, we will meet with you to develop a relationship. We want to know everything we can about you to help in our defense. We will have a thorough consultation where we develop all of the facts and determine your goals. We will communicate, and if appropriate negotiate, with the prosecutor. We will go to court and represent you before the judge (oftentimes allowing your appearance to be waived so you don't have to appear). We will investigate the case, including talking to witnesses, taking depositions, and obtaining information beneficial to you. We will research legal issues and file legal motions where appropriate. We will consult with you on a regular basis about your options and what you can expect during the process. We will represent you during trial and all other proceedings in court.
At LGL, we will treat your criminal case like you are family.
LGL has two partners who practice immigration law. One, or both, of these partners will handle your immigration case personally. John Gihon, in our Altamonte Springs office, is a Florida Bar Board Certified Expert in Immigration and Nationality Law. He is a former Senior Attorney with ICE and has been featured on local and national news media. He is also a regular lecturer on immigration topics throughout the state. Jeremy Lasnetski, in our Jacksonville office, is the former Jacksonville Regional Vice Chair of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, Northeast Florida Chapter and has also lectured on immigration topics. Both Jeremy and John handle immigration benefit cases, including, adjustment of status, fiance visas, naturalization, change of status, and much more.
Deportation cases - LGL handles deportation cases. As a former ICE prosecutor, John Gihon brings his experience and knowledge of the deportation system to your defense. No matter where you reside, if your deportation case is in the Orlando Immigration Court, LGL can help you.
Because we have two offices, one in Altamonte Springs, near the Orlando Immigration Court, and one in Jacksonville, near the Baker Detention Facility, LGL is perfect for any deportation case where the person is being detained in the Baker County Detention Facility. Most of these cases involve deportation based on a criminal conviction. We have an experienced criminal trial lawyer (Jeremy Lasnetski) and a Florida Bar Board Certified Immigration and Nationality Lawyer (John Gihon) who will work to attack both the underlying criminal case and the deportation case. If you have a case involving deportation based on a criminal conviction, it is important to retain an attorney who has experience in both criminal law and immigration law. At LGL, we have two partners who are experienced in both.
When you retain LGL for your immigration case, we will draft all applications and petitions and collect all required documentation. We will explain the process to you before and during the process, so you understand everything that is happening. We will appear with you at interviews before USCIS and all court hearings before the immigration court.
At LGL, we will treat your immigration case like you are family.
